We’re hiring!

The Yellowstone Art Museum is seeking an Office Administrator to join our team! This position plays an important role in supporting the Museum’s day-to-day operations, providing administrative support, assisting staff and leadership, and helping keep the YAM running smoothly.

Thank you for continuing to support the Yellowstone Art Museum with your time and your treasure. Your support has never been more important as the Yellowstone County Commissioners have proposed only $50,000 in funding from a historical $220,000 in annual support. Spend some time behind the lens with photographer James Florio!

Join us TONIGHT at 5 PM at the Yellowstone Art Museum for the Opening Reception of James Florio: Thirty-six Views of Inverted Portal. The evening will include a screening of the 17-minute documentary James Florio at Tippet Rise, followed by a conversation with James about his work.

Then, continue the experience on Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM–2 PM with a special Photography Intensive with James Florio. Explore Norm’s Island while learning to look more deeply at form, light, shadow, color, and the relationship between land and nature through photography. The workshop concludes back at the YAM with lunch, a review of your photographs, and photo printing.

Photography Intensive: Saturday, October 24 | 10 AM–2 PM
Cost: $45

Join us this Thursday!

Join us at the YAM on Thursday, September 3 at 5 PM for the Opening Reception of JAMES FLORIO: THIRTYSIX VIEWS OF INVERTED PORTAL.

The evening will also feature a screening of the 17-minute documentary “James Florio at Tippet Rise”, an Official Selection of the 2024 BIG SKY Documentary and MINT Film Festivals, followed by a conversation with James Florio.

Organized as a One Artwork Gallery, the exhibition invites visitors to slow down and spend time with Florio’s grid of photographs chronicling Inverted Portal over seven winters. Designed by Ensamble Studio, the 22-foot-tall sculpture stands on the grounds of Tippet Rise Art Center in Fishtail, Montana.
