Paint Like Van Gogh: Vincent Van Gogh is known everywhere for his style of brush strokes, the mood captured in his pieces, and his way of viewing the world around him! In this class, we will touch upon the basics of Impressionism, the art style Van Gogh is most known for, and you will leave with your very own Vincent-esque painting in acrylics! This workshop is for beginners and intermediate students, teen through adult.

Botanical Printmaking: Join Geri Kerber for a botanical printmaking workshop using both real leaves and/or flowers and also creating block printing plate of plants and/or flowers. Participants can make larger prints or small tags or notecards using printmaking, colored pencils, and watercolors.

Scientists have tried all sorts of ways to help us stay youthful — but it could be artists who hold the key.

Immersing yourself regularly in culture may slow down the aging process as much as an extra weekly workout, a study has found.

Those who engaged in artistic pursuits — whether by taking part, or taking them in — at least once a week were, on average, a year younger in terms of general health than those who rarely did so, researchers said.
