Stansbury Home Preservation Assoc. Built in 1883 by Dr Oscar Stansbury, the home stands today as it did at the turn of the century.

The Stansbury Home is a Victorian home built by Dr. Oscar Stansbury in 1883. The home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and in 1991 was listed as supporting the South Campus Historic District. While the home is now the property of The City of Chico, the Stansbury Home Preservation Association is charged with the responsibility to fund and maintain the 19th century hist

oric residence in it’s original state. The Stansbury Home is located at the corner of Fifth and Salem streets and is open for public tours on Sat. & Sun. 1-4pm; donations of $5 per adult and $3 for children 12 and under are requested.

We had the honor of hosting a beautiful 65th birthday celebration at the Stansbury Museum this past weekend! 🎉🎂✨

Surrounded by history 🏛️, family ❤️, and great memories 📸, it was a truly special evening celebrating Mr. Davis and this incredible milestone 🥂.

From heartfelt moments 💫 to joyful laughter 😄, every detail made the night unforgettable.

Just yesterday, Ms. Brown’s class from Chico Country Day School stopped by for a tour and helped us get ready for our upcoming event by decorating these adorable ice cream creations! 🎨🍨 Their creativity made our day!

The Stansbury House is closed today, but we’ll be open tomorrow, Sunday February 1st, for tours from 1–3 PM!
While we were closed today, we had the chance to travel and take in the beauty of another incredible historic landmark—Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, Canada 🏰. Even when our doors are closed, our love for history and architecture continues.
