Join us aboard the USS Lexington Museum this Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th at 2PM, as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country. The event is open to the public and free to attend.

⏰ Ceremony starts at 2PM – Doors open at 1pm (Non-museum member guests who arrive prior to 1pm will be subject to pay general admission)

Rain or shine, the historic “Blue Ghost” is now open daily during summer season from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., seven days a week, giving you even more time to explore history this summer aboard USS Lexington Museum.

Our Memorial Day Ceremony will take place in Hangar Bay II on Monday, May 25th beginning at 2 PM. We invite the community to come together in remembrance of our nation’s fallen heroes.

Calling all USS Lexington Museum and Hooks fans, tonight starts the Corpus Christi Hooks 🪝 Blue Ghosts Weekend!

All Memorial Day Weekend the Hooks will play as the Blue Ghosts to celebrate and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Then tomorrow, May 23rd starting at 10:30am, the Hooks will be on ship for a Blue Ghosts Scavenger Hunt!

The Blue Ghosts are back TONIGHT and with a whole new look!

The Battle of the Coral Sea on May 8, 1942, was a pivotal World War II naval battle where USS Lexington (CV-2) played a major role; although a tactical US loss, it was a strategic victory that halted Japan’s invasion of Port Moresby. After the sinking of the Lexington, workers at Bethlehem Steel Company petitioned to honor the ship’s legacy, leading to the renaming of the USS Cabot as USS Lexington (CV-16).
