About the Director, Alex Ferrone:
Based on the North Fork of New York and as a commercial and fine art aerial photographer, Alex Ferrone’s works have been published widely including in Wine Spectator, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Pinhole Journal; have been highlighted in numerous online magazines, and have been featured on TV. Ferrone has exhibited her fine art aerial photographs in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums nationally in New York, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, and Colorado; and internationally in Italy and Spain. Her works are held in private collections in the United States, Italy and France. Alex Ferrone has many ties to the East End community from her twenty-plus years of aerial photography clientele, to contacts through a number of organizations for which she has volunteered including WPPB Peconic Public Broadcasting (now WLIW), East End Arts, and North Fork Chamber of Commerce and Promotion Council. Her artistic and business organization memberships have included National Association of Women Artists, East End Photographers Group, Long Island Wine Council, East End Arts, East End Women’s Network, North Fork Promotion Council, and the Mattituck, Riverhead, and North Fork Chambers of Commerce. Enjoy the free inspiration this weekend in the Gallery.

The following works by Carolyn Conrad are photographic still lifes using a collection of found objects. Carolyn set up some of her old paintings as backdrops and painted wood blocks to set the scenes for the alabaster eggs. The artist states that she, "caught the sunlight from the window which gave the whole stage a luminous quality - the eggs, an ineffable essence."

Breathe Deeply features serene, meditative and thoughtful photography, painting, mixed media, printmaking, and sculpture to relax the senses and help you recharge.

One new collector of ours is more at ease with these little jewels by mixed media photographic artist Marlene Weinstein. Captivated by nature, Marlene seeks to preserve her memories of shifting landscapes through her art.
Printed on watercolor paper using the hand-marbling Suminagashi technique, Marlene also incorporates acrylics for the completion of these black and white photographic works on cradled panels.

From his historic home and studio in Peconic on the North Fork, sculptor Bennett Sykes Blackburn has been carving wood for almost 60 years. "Spatial Play", his stunning sculpture in the Breathe Deeply Exhibition, was produced by combining rectangular pieces of wood with domino joinery in order to create the twist. Then the carving began.

Visit this weekend to see Bennett's work today through Sunday from 12-5pm.

Through activities using color theory, sound meditations, and mindfulness exercises, Linda and Kathy will guide you to calm your nervous system and deepen your connection to yourself and others.

Based on Long Island, artist Winn Rea combines painting and sculpture into layered, luminous wall reliefs. Her works address environmental themes through conceptualism and direct engagement with the landscape.

In speaking about her work in the Breathe Deeply exhibition, Winn says, "My Blue Wisdom series arises from my time spent in the natural world. The effects of light and air, water and land offer an immersive experience, and I capture in veils of paint on wood panels that allow the Baltic birch grain to show through. Even while examining grains of sand at my feet by the water’s edge, I remain aware of my connection to the natural cycles at work on a planetary scale. Within the three-dimensional layered circles, the Baltic birch grain functions as topographic forms, as weather system isobars, and as fluid patterns on a vast scale. From this perspective I can remain grounded."
