Join Preservation Dearborn on Monday, June 1, at 7 P.M. A Wayne County Parks environmental educator will share historic highlights about park land in the area and more. Topics will include the Fair Lane Estate dam, the Rouge River fish passage, Jens Jensen’s landscape designs and some of the interesting nearby Ford Village Industries.

Join us at the McFadden Ross House on Saturday, May 30th, at 6PM for an evening honoring the traditions and remembrance ceremonies of Union Forces during the Civil War era. This Decoration Day gathering, led by members of the Sons of Union Veterans, commemorates all those who served and sacrificed.
All are welcome to attend this event happening on the traditional date of Memorial Day.

Did you know the old City of Fordson used to have its own separate Memorial Day Parade for a few years? When Fordson merged with Dearborn in 1929, the Memorial Day Parade did a Schaefer Road focused route up to Fordson High. This was followed by participants driving over to West Dearborn and doing a parade march over there as well.

Join us in East Dearborn today for the Memorial Day Parade starting at Michigan and Schaefer. The main parade starts at 10AM.

The DHM and other city offices will be closed today and tuesday for Memorial Day and Eid al Adha holidays.
