Drawn exclusively from the Rubin Center’s permanent collection, this exhibition brings selected works into dialogue with our concurrent exhibitions, Costuras Territoriales and
AMBOS. Together, they explore themes of material knowledge, labor, care, migration, and community, highlighting how art connects personal experience with broader social realities.

As the 2025 Annual Juried UTEP Student Art Exhibition comes to a close on July 24, please remember to pick up your artwork.

Artwork Pickup Dates:
• July 29–31
• August 3
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

If you are unable to pick up your work during these times, please make arrangements with Rubin Center staff in advance.

Curator Andres Payan reflects on Strangers in Our Own Land and the conversations at the heart of the exhibition.

Through Cynthia Gutierrez-Krapp's work, the exhibition explores memory, place, ancestry, and the ways identity is carried across generations. Hear Andres share why these stories matter and what he hopes visitors take with them after experiencing the exhibition.
