We warmly invite you to spend an evening with us as we honor the life and lasting impact of The Rev. Steve Allen on Friday, April 10, at 6 p.m. at the International Civil Rights Center & Museum.

In partnership with UNC Greensboro’s Media Studies, History, and University Libraries, we present Homage to a Hero: Reflections from Rev. Steve Allen, a moving short film that shares Rev. Allen’s extraordinary journey as an attorney, judge, and pastor. Experience the inspiring story of a man who broke racial barriers and opened doors for generations to come.

This film is part of a cherished UNC Greensboro project, begun in 2010, that honors the voices of courageous activists whose efforts helped shape the Civil Rights Movement alongside celebrated figures like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and John Lewis.
