For the musical fan looking for ways to commemorate the 250th, there is a combo of historical-musical movie screenings coming this Sunday, June 28th! Senate House's Historic Site Manager Aaron Robinson will be there, serving on the panel following "1776".

FREE programming will include a screening of 1776 as well as a dynamic panel of local historians and community leaders at UPAC, followed by the film version of Hamilton at HRMM.

What better way to commemorate 250 years of American Independence than an event at Senate House? Join us for "Let Freedom Ring!" this Saturday from 11am - 4pm.

Be sure you don't miss our ceremony at 1:00pm, featuring speeches touching the Declaration of Independence and its legacy throughout American history. See the lineup of speeches and music below.

Don't forget that we will also be featuring re-enactors, live music, guided tours of Senate House, two brand new exhibits, and more throughout the day. We hope to see you there!

Senate House will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. We will re-open for regular hours on Saturday, June 20th.

Our latest exhibit, “Revolution Comes to Kingston,” is now open to the public! It explores the American Revolution story through the lens of Kingston and its inhabitants, discussing how the conflict affected local leaders, merchants, indigenous peoples, and more.

We wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the site for our Grand Re-Opening event this past weekend. We had a blast unveiling all we have been working on!
