Amy Field discovered volunteering opportunities through the Rancho’s monthly newsletter. Her daughter encouraged her to make this a part of her next chapter after her retirement. Amy is a dedicated volunteer with the award-winning Adelante 4th-Grade program as a costumed docent. Hear from Amy about her Rancho Reasons. RLC was proud to partner with F&M Bank today as they came together to volunteer in our historic gardens. Always a valued community partner, F&M employees worked alongside the Rancho’s Horticulture Manager and team to help keep things healthy and beautiful! 🌿💚🌼

We are so grateful for their support!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Cocina del Barrio: Mexican Culinary Tradition, a hands-on workshop connected to our current exhibition, Seeds of Resilience: Barrio Americano. 🔥

This gathering was about more than food. It was about memory, culture, and the traditions that continue to nourish us and connect us to one another.

Special thanks to Carina Lavin for leading such a meaningful experience and to Luis of Acapicosalsa for providing salsa and chips

Visit Rancho Los Cerritos to experience Seeds of Resilience: Barrio Americano and continue learning about Mexican and Mexican American resilience, community, and cultural preservation.

More Than a Logo: The Story Behind the New Rancho Los Cerritos Brand

Every detail of the new Rancho Los Cerritos brand identity was inspired by the site itself.

The new branding was created to honor the past while increasing the Rancho's visibility and relevance for future generations. As Rancho Los Cerritos continues to expand educational programs, exhibitions, events, community partnerships, and support, the new brand provides a cohesive visual foundation for the future. Visit and experience what makes Rancho Los Cerritos special, and learn more about the story behind the branding. Historic Site. Museum. Rancho Los Cerritos wants to hear from you! We are asking our community to share food memories, stories, and knowledge with RLC to help us create an inclusive exhibition in 2027 that is a true reflection of Long Beach, past and present. Use the link in our bio to fill out a questionnaire by June 10 to let RLC know what food means to you and your community.

Thank you for your help in cooking up a great exhibition!
