Visit the encampment in Jockey Hollow this weekend.
Witness history come to life with musket demonstrations, kids’ muster, historic hikes and a glimpse into what camp life was like for the Continental Army when it was camped in Morristown.
This year’s annual Spring Encampment Weekend celebrates America 250, the semiquincentennial anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Highlights of the weekend include musket demonstrations, children’s drill, 18th century carpentry and other skills and a hike to the soldiers’ huts.
All events are free and open to the public.
