For our debut NADA New York presentation, ABRI MARS is pleased to present “Liminal Space,” featuring works by Marija Olšauskaitė and Eric Wolf.

The duo presentation explores the intersection of natural observation, domestic intimacy, and the fluid boundaries of materiality. Though working across disparate media and geographies, both artists are united by a practice of sustained observation and an interest in the polymorphic qualities of their mediums. Together, Wolf’s rhythmic, graphic landscapes and Olšauskaitė’s vivid glass sculptures offer a choreographed experience probing the threshold between the “solid” natural world and the “liquid” realm of human intimacy.

For our debut NADA New York presentation, ABRI MARS is pleased to present “Liminal Space,” featuring works by Marija Olšauskaitė and Eric Wolf.

ABRI MARS is thrilled to present “Gift,” an exhibition featuring sculptural works by Michael Bühler-Rose, Kat Chamberlin, Joe Horner, and Chavis Mármol. Through diverse practices spanning sculpture, performance, rendering, and installation, the four artists investigate the act of giving as a complex site of social negotiation and spiritual ritual.

Drawing on principles of symbolic interactionism, “Gift” investigates meaning as a fluid negotiation between symbols that inform our shared reality and objects that serve as a vessel for intent, status, devotion, and beauty.

To mark the closing of “Two Waters,” ABRI MARS will be joined by artist Eric Wolf and Patagonia’s Activism Lead, Leticia de Mello Bueno, for an intimate dialogue on the intersection of contemporary art and the natural world.

In honor of Eric Wolf’s dedication to working exclusively outdoors, the talk will take place on-site at Albert’s Garden (16 E 2nd Street), followed by an exhibition walkthrough with the artist at ABRI MARS (53a Stanton Street).
