🏠 Rural Community and Arts Connection Opportunity 🎨
Boosting Our Local Arts & Economy is an event geared toward community leaders, artists, and community members who are passionate about strengthening our rural economy and improving quality of life for those who live here.

This event is being organized by Kate Koziol, a former SWWRP staff member who has since retired and started Why Not Seneca. ✨Women in Business Spotlight✨

We are featuring the women behind the scenes at Ripple Artspace which is dedicated to the creation, appreciation, and education of visual (and other forms of) art in the Platteville community and surrounding Driftless area. They connect our community through creativity with inspiring exhibitions, educational programs, and opportunities to engage with the arts.
There's always something to do at Ripple Artspace! Stop by during open gallery hours, attend a special event, or explore the space through community events like the winter farmers market and Ripple Artspace Makers Night on the Third Thursday of the month from 4-7pm.

Platteville Main Street is proud to spotlight these women for their many contributions to the Ripple Artspace and the Community!

🌱 Did You Know Thursday?

The Platteville Farmers Market is a year round market!

We move indoors in November and can be found on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month inside Ripple Artspace from 9am till noon.

Breath in. Breath out. Do you need a break to take a walk off the Massachusetts coast? While we can’t physically take you there, you can let Richard Moninski’s exhibit “Littoral” transport you to a place where the ocean tide reaches the stony island coast.

Inspired by an artist residency on Cuttyhunk Island, Moninski’s original imagery and expressive compositions seek to capture the experience of walking along the beach where attention continually shifts between what is nearby and what lies in the distance. Take an island stroll through the main gallery for yourself to check it out this afternoon.

Join us this Friday, October 2 from 4–7 p.m. for the opening receptions of Richard Moninski’s “Littoral” in the main gallery and Shad Williams’s “Metals in Flux” in the upper space gallery!

Inspired by an artist residency on Cuttyhunk Island, “Littoral” explores the intertidal zone through a combination of digital and traditional painting. “Metals in Flux” explores the melding of wood and metal, moving “from Fantasy to Craftsman and into modern styles.”

These receptions are free and open to the public. We can’t wait to see you this afternoon!

It’s officially fall! 🍂 The leaves haven’t changed color much just yet, but you can stop by Joanne Beisner’s exhibit “Piece of Me” in the upper space gallery to start celebrating the season with some of her autumn-inspired artworks.

Come “fall” in love with Joanne’s artwork this weekend before her solo exhibit closes this Saturday, September 26.
