UP (University of the Philippines) has a long-lasting q***r friendly culture. Their premier performance group UP Samaskom delivers a “definitely q***r-led” performance called “Live A.I.D.S.” (Which also shorts for “Acts, Improvs, Dances and Songs” or in Tagalog “Ang Istoryang Dinebelop SAMASKOM) every year in pop-concert style.

The 2nd picture was from showing their performance during QAM’s PH committee meeting. Loved the energy!

3 books were donated to Mx Ryan from ASEAN SOGIE Caucus.

The 2 ASEAN Q***r Imaginings were from the Southeast Asia Q***r Cultural Festival (SEAQCF) aims to cultivate and nurture the collective memories of LGBTQIAN+ (le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual/aromantic, and non-binary) individuals in ASEAN, bringing together q***r artists, cultural practitioners, writers, and community organizers to discuss contemporary issues and celebrate the lives of q***r communities in Southeast Asia.

🐻🇵🇭 Asian bear pride x Filipino Q***r History!

As QAM prepares for 2027 our year of Philippines, we’re thrilled to welcome 12 more pieces of Asian bear art illustrated by Doyski-dayo | 🧜‍♂️🌸♐ donated by Mr. Bear Philippines David Cuajunco David Cuajunco himself to our growing PH collection!

Actively involved in local bear events, including facilitating Bear Board Game, supporting Bears, Beers, & Bars, and the senior group the Golden G**s, this Bear King from Makati city helps bring people together while championing Asian visibility in the global bear and leather communities such as International Mr. Leather.

His contribution reminds us that q***r history is also bear history, kink history, geek history, and the elder’s history -They are all vital parts of our shared q***r heritage.

A heartfelt thank you to David for sharing your heart, your performance, and your community spirit with QAM. We’re honored to preserve a piece of this history and excited to build more connections with the Filipino q***r community in the year ahead! ❤️
