The DoSeum

The DoSeum Welcome to the NEW OFFICIAL FB page of The DoSeum! At The DoSeum, the adventure of learning never ends. DoSeum Community Guidelines:

1.

With roots dating back to 1995, when we first opened as the San Antonio Children's Museum, we've grown into one of the nation’s top children's museums. We believe in the power of play to spark curiosity and ignite imaginations. Our hands-on experiences empower families to explore, create, and discover together. From exploring the wonders of science and math to diving into the world of art and lite

racy, our interactive exhibits turn every visit into a new opportunity for growth. Here, joyful learning brings families closer, nurtures young minds, and fosters a more connected, vibrant community. Step into a world where creativity knows no bounds, and every day is filled with endless possibilities. As a 501(c)(3), The DoSeum is committed to accessible and free programming to low-income San Antonio-area children, with a goal of serving 10,000 kids from Title I schools annually. At 68,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space, The DoSeum’s wow-worthy facility, opened in 2015, inspires each Guest to cultivate their curiosity, ignite learning, and discover the power of play. Be Kind and Courteous - We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

2. No Hate Speech or Bullying - Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

3. No Promotions or Spam - Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed. Any interactions that violate these guidelines will result in removal of interactions and being block from The DoSeum social media channels.

Last Sunday, we celebrated a special ribbon cutting of our new permanent exhibit, We Are Here — a space where children and families can honor, learn about, and care for the ancestral lands of our San Antonio community. 🌱

Created in partnership with American Indians in Texas - Spanish Colonial Missions and the San Antonio Mission Indian Descendants, this exhibit highlights our region’s Indigenous roots through native foliage, herbs, and grasses; cherished family photos displayed in our storytelling tree; and meaningful pieces featuring the native language, pajalate, a dialect of the Coahuiltecan people.

You’ll find this new space in our east yard near the treehouse and eco pond. We hope you’ll stop by and experience it on your next visit.
