We are sorry to share that our Gray Fox, Dylan, passed away this morning, Wednesday, May 27, after being diagnosed with a rare condition this past February.

Dylan arrived at CuriOdyssey when he was six months old in 2013. Since that time he has been an incredible ambassador for the Gray Fox species, and a deeply beloved part of CuriOdyssey.

The injuries of his youth meant that Dylan loved to spend most of his final years snuggling adorably in his heated bed up high in his enclosure, but he could still often be found pawing through enrichment materials for snacks or showing off his climing skills for our campers. We will all miss him dearly.

Some of Gunner's biggest fans are also some of his most talented. 🎨

After hearing the news about Gunner, 8-year-old Akhila and 5-year-old Anvika sat down with their watercolors and painted bookmarks in his honor. They wanted kids to have something special to remember him by. We think that says everything about the kind of love Gunner inspired. We are printing their beautiful artwork so that YOU can take a piece of Gunner home with you.
