Good morning Artists and I hope you are able to enjoy some time off this weekend! Certainly for some it is still a busy work weekend. I too will be working some at private events 💙but I love it💙 and I did block out Sunday for someone specials birthday and Monday for the holiday! Regardless, I hope your weekend finds you well!

The Friday class schedule for the next FOUR months will be posted Saturday. As I was under the weather this week there is NO morning Friday class today, September 4th. However we are ON for the 11th and 18th of this month. Big schedule post coming tomorrow morning! 💙

Our Friday class was a veritable garden of beauty!! We have taken a short break from traditional watercolor work to hone our drawing skills. Today we created sunflowers in a fun, illustrative style that has definitely sparked joy! 🌻

For September we will be holding acrylic classes during what is usually our watercolor time-Fridays at 10:30 a.m. at 35:35 Makers Collective. Ticket link coming SOON!

A great time was had at Hidden Chapter Bookshop last night! Such a fun environment designed by owner Cora! We filled TWO ROOMS last night and really enjoyed her complimentary snacks and beverages. So kind!

And take a good look at the beautiful watercolor work! So pretty! Thanks to all who attended and keep an eye out for more open classes! 💙

My Friday morning class at 35:35 Makers Collective has taken a break from painting this month to build our drawing skills! I am a big fan of learning how to draw and practicing in pen. It eliminates the stress of erasing (as we learn to adapt and adjust with our pens) and is excellent for developing hand eye coordination which helps with any type of art you create.

This week the focus was on curves and swirls. So much fun! Did you know inward circling swirls bring you mental clarity and calmness?
Outward swirls can promote a sense and feeling of freedom and whimsy.
