The Indiana Military Museum (IMM) exists to serve the citizens of the community, the state, and the nation with educational programming, archives, displays, and opportunities for intense research related to America’s military history from the American Revolution to the present day. This is accomplished by maintaining, preserving, and displaying artifacts which represent the strength and freedom of

our American heritage. Museum Admission Fees:
$8 for Adults;
$7 for seniors, veterans, and active-duty personnel;
$5 Kids 5-18;
Free under 5 years of age;

Our Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Days event is coming up in 60 days on July 18th & 19th. A full schedule of events will be posted soon, but pertinent information at this time is, "What time are the battles?" 1 pm. One battle each day. That's what the people want to know! The museum grounds are open from 9 to 5 both days. All outside events are free admission. Vietnam veterans have free admittance to the museum both days, with their spouses. Standard museum pricing applies otherwise. Opening Colors is at 10 o'clock in the morning. The scheduled flamethrower demonstration is on hold for the moment, until we get further confirmation. Vietnam reenactors, please register in the link coming soon. More info coming as we near the date. Stay tuned.

Next weekend Sat/Sun May 2nd &3rd, IMM is pleased to announce the 6th annual Spring WWII Days event. Two full days of both Axis & Allied reenactor troops, vehicles, living history, and possible flyover with battles, anti-tank gun demos, tank destruction demos, uniform and weapons presentations military vendors. Everything outside is free admission. Hours 9 am to 4 pm. You won't want to miss it!

Sarah ‘Sally’ Hurst Keller

Mrs. Sarah “Sally” Hurst Keller, Palmyra Township, Knox County, passed on April 8, 2026, at her home.

Sally was born May 1, 1932, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Alfred Coulter Hurst III and Persis McClure Hurst.

She was married to Richard L. Keller, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Sally was a 1954 graduate of the College of William and Mary, and retired from the Central Intelligence Agency after 30 years of service. She was a member and past Regent of Francis Vigo Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, member and past president of the Fortnightly Club, Garden Club, Vincennes Historical Society, and member of the Old Cathedral.

Sally enjoyed tutoring local students, volunteering at the Indiana Military Museum, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Library Literacy Program.

Survivors include a brother, Alfred C. (Jean) Hurst IV; nephews, Alfred C. Hurst V, Stephen M. (Jacqueline) Hurst, Matthew McClure (Amy) Hurst; five great-nephews; and three great-nieces.

Those who have passed before her include her parents, husband, and brother, James T. Hurst.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at a future date.

Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Sarah and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Indiana Military Museum, Upper Indiana Cemetery, or the Knox County Community Foundation Persis Hurst Scholarship Fund.
