Photographer embarked on a journey to discover edible plants with 11th-grade students from the in Evere. Alongside herbalists Henri Pluss and Virginie Volckaert (plantes_a_gogo_herbo), and with the support of , the students explored their own intangible heritage and developed contemporary artistic practices, connecting present-day knowledge and practices with those of the past. The project ‘Past is Now’ is supported by PECA and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Service of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

For the Sing My Song project, MUS-E Belgium welcomed artists and teachers from Spain and Portugal to for two lively days filled with creative ateliers, live music, an instrument-making masterclass by Jeroen Smets, a biodiversity workshop at , and much more.

At MUS-E easter art-week at , artists and focused on the sense of looking; at yourself, at each other, at the world around us. Scanning hair, drawing eyes, taking polaroids, zooming in with microscopes, working with found materials. Fragments turning into images, textures into ideas.

They visited and the exhibition by Marie Zolamian, then responded to what they saw through drawing and clay reliefs. Going further than just looking. Taking notice, translating impressions into inspiration of their own.

On April 1st, Cultureghem celebrated their annual C’EST PARTI party. A warm, lively day full of activities for Anderlecht’s kids. MUS-E hosted two ateliers, including a hands-on session with Willemien Meijer where kids experimented with tools, hammering and building with recycled wood. They were free to create whatever they imagined, resulting in creative figures and playful constructions. Meanwhile, let children pose with a colorful and impressive mermaid’s tail she made during the KETMET ateliers.

We wrapped up last week with the second edition of MUS-E Salon, where we invite our artists to share works of their own practice within our community. This time we showed pieces by nine of our artists, each one interacting in its own way with the modernist space. Friends and family gathered, lingered, and connected over warm bread and homemade Lebanese spreads.

Spring is in the air! Yesterday at , led ateliers in the beautiful sunlit conservatory. Inspired by sprouting plants, they sculpted with clay and dug their hands deep into the soil to plant their seedlings. They created their own small conservatories, brewing with life. Rasa closed the atelier with a calming mint ritual, reconnecting the children to the natural world.

Digging for traces of the past at Pianofabriek - During our holiday art week led by artists .e , Mona Marchetti and Dries De Maeyer, children explored memories, shapes and sounds. Together they searched for stories almost forgotten and turned them into intruiging shadows, musical pieces and a cloth filled with old and new impressions.

Last  wednesday, the opening of vitrine m13 took place. This edition focuses on   and features work from multiple artists who’ve done site-specific interventions. To kick off the evening, gave a live performance connected to his work.

The vitrine is still on view until mid may, so come take a look for yourself in the hallway of the Marolles swimming pool, located at Reebokstraat 28.
