What can you hear when you enter the exhibition “Rehearsal Room”?

Sounds of water, frogs, wind, rain, and birds mixed with ambient music. Together, they form a sound collage that creates an immersive atmosphere in the space.

The “Speaker Tree (Cross-dimensional Messengers)” — a sculpture of intertwined steel holding three speakers like branches — fills the room with layered sonic textures. It plays the composition “Circulaciones (Dreamscapes)” by Nicole L’Huillier and Nyksan , which combines drone, ambient sound, and field recordings from the Amazon region, drawing on research into dream incubation and brainwave entrainment.

Visitors are invited to lie beneath the sculpture on the “Convoluted Mattress (Resting and Receiving)”, a large communal bed made from acoustic foam. Resting their heads on one of the “Sonic Pillows (Personal Attunement Device)”, they can add purring, breathing, heartbeats, and subtle vibrations to the listening experience.

This sonic environment encourages sleep, rest, lingering, collective dreaming, and daydreaming.

Come experience it for yourself — the exhibition runs until July 5, 2026.

Vortrag & Workshop | 28 May 2026 | 17:30 Uhr

SYMPOSIUM | „Songs of Serpents – Art, Landscapes, Ecofeminism(s)“

Thank you all for joining us last Friday at the symposium “Songs of Serpents – Art, Landscapes, Ecofeminism(s)” for a wonderful afternoon and evening with inspiring presentations, lectures, performances, and panel discussions.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all the participants of the symposium, the transnational network of curators, artists-in-residence, and scientists who alerted us to local ecological and political challenges as well as broader global geopolitical dynamics and extractive, exploitative practices.

Thank you to for the organization and also to Suza Husse from Succow Foundation as well as Antonia Alampi for the great moderation.

EXHIBITION INVITATION:
Opening | 23 April 2026 | 6–9 pm🎉✨

It’s just around the corner: Next Thursday, the solo exhibition “Rehearsal Room” by Nicole L’Huillier opens at our Project Space!

“Rehearsal Room” invites you to experience a resonant soundscape acting both as a sleep laboratory and as an immersive space. Centered on acoustic and vibrational elements, the exhibition affects the bodies of the visitors physically and attunes them to other states of consciousness, luring them into the world of dreams.

The composition featured in the exhibition is a collaborative effort between and sound artist Nyksan inaugurated by the performance “Ouverture” on January 29, 2026. The exhibition is also developed in close collaboration with Dr. Adam Haar Horowitz, who specializes in dreams and dream incubation as well as Manaswi Mishra () with whom L’Huillier worked on the “The Whisperers”.

Curated by Dr. Christina Landbrecht, Artistic Director at 📍Schering Stiftung

Free admission. No registration required.
We look forward to seeing you here!
