This week's photograph shows a barrow-way in Far East Firs. It linked a working face on a boundary pillar to a shaft in the north of the quarry. On either side of the barrow-way, you see stone packing that was used to support the roof. The quarry was located under the east side of North Road.

This photograph was taken by archaeologists during the stabilisation project.

The museum is open every Friday, 2pm - 5pm. It will also open on Sunday 28th June, 11am - 4pm.

Following our joint opening in April with the nearby Bath Jewish Burial Ground, we're happy to say there will be another joint opening on Sunday 28th June, where both sites will be open for free, 11am-4pm. This will be the only other chance to go to both on the same day this year!

We're currently in the process of working to improve visitor experience and finding out how to better use the museum as a community space. We'd appreciate any feedback and suggestions, so please do contact us or drop by on one of our open days.
