The masterplans's elegant geometry of radiating boulevards, avenues and orbital promenade are stitched together with a pattern of parks and garden squares that placed every home within two blocks of a green space or the water’s edge. The emphasis was on creating a sustainable model of social integration, with homes, shops and places of employment all within easy walking distance. With a mile of water frontage Titanic Quarter is bringing new life to a part of the city that is rich in history. Titanic Quarter is co-promoted by Belfast Harbour and Titanic Quarter Limited. The £7bn development is expected to create at least 25,000 new jobs over the next 15 years.

Created in partnership with Basketball Northern Ireland, the new court is part of South Yard Square and provides another fantastic outdoor space for our growing Titanic Quarter community to get active, have fun and spend time together

And the best bit? It’s completely free to use and open for everyone to enjoy 🏀

Whether you’re a regular player, fancy challenging your friends to a game or simply want to give basketball a go – grab a ball and head down!

Building a community, one new space at a time. 💛

Our new South Yard Square isn’t just about a play park and basketball court – it’s about creating a place where people can meet, play, get active and feel part of the growing community here in Titanic Quarter

We caught up with local resident Stephanie Furlong to hear what having the new play park on her doorstep means for her family - from getting outdoors and meeting other parents to giving children a place to play and make new friends 🛝

🏀 Friday morning team building at South Yard Square!

The TQ Team stepped away from the desks this morning and headed over to our new 3x3 basketball court for a quick game. ⛹️‍♂️

There were some great shots, a few near misses and plenty of healthy competition along the way! 😂

We might not be ready for the professional leagues just yet, but it was a brilliant way to start the day - and even better to see the new court being used and enjoyed. 🙌

⌚ Don’t miss Mary Mangan’s Pocket Watch at Titanic Belfast

There’s still time to see this poignant piece of Titanic history, currently on temporary display at Titanic Belfast. ⚓

The pocket watch belonged to Third Class passenger Mary Mangan, from Addergoole, County Mayo, who travelled aboard RMS Titanic as one of the Addergoole Fourteen.

Engraved with Mary’s name and still bearing signs of its immersion in the North Atlantic, the watch offers a remarkable personal connection to her story and that of the Addergoole Fourteen.

The watch is displayed alongside a recovered linked chain and a unique hand portrait of Mary on Level 1 at Titanic Belfast.

Visitors can explore the galleries at their own pace while experiencing the story of Titanic, from the shipyards of Belfast and her historic launch to her maiden voyage, sinking and final resting place 🚢
