20 years ago today PC Ryan Michael Hunt sadly lost his life in a road traffic collision.

He had been working undercover in South Yorkshire as part of Operation Accordance, tackling drug related offenses. Colleagues described Ryan as a 'popular and respected officer'.

Congratulations to !

before season tickets were common 'Villa vouchers' could be collected from match programmes throughout the season and used by fans to gain entry to League Cup Final.

A few enterprising criminals decided to make their fortune by creating counterfeits of the vouchers to sell to fans - however, they only printed on one side making the fake's useless!

A cartoon from the 1977 League Cup edition of the Sports Argus summarises the failed escapade!

Last week our collection at Coventry Police Museum grew thanks to George Harris who donated items and shared stories of his fathers time in the force.

Raymond Harris joined the force in 1941, promoted to Inspector in 1957, and retired after a 30 year career.

George spent time talking to our volunteers, retired officers Ben and Howard, and discovered that Ben's parents were close friends to his own!

Both of their fathers joining the force at the same time - they can even be seen together in the group photos - Coventry may be a big city, but it's a small world!
