Penny lives in Castle Douglas and is inspired by the sea and nature of Dumfries and Galloway.
She handbuilds vases, bowls and decorative pieces in stoneware from her home studio in Castle Douglas.
Based in her home studio she uses hand building techniques. All pieces are fired in an electric kiln.
Penny makes her own glazes from the base ingredients and loves to experiment with with texture and colour, mainly working to reflect the tones and character of the sea, sand and rock near to where she lives.

She enjoys making pieces that are tactile as well as beautiful to look at. Every pot is unique, having its own individual shape, colour and texture.
