Park Gallery Park Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the beautiful Montpellier district of Cheltenham.

It features a broad and diverse range of art work comprising original paintings, limited edition prints, handmade glass and ceramics and bronze. We’re delighted to welcome Jonathan Oakes to Park Gallery.

Originally from Sheffield, Jonathan spent much of his early life exploring the landscapes of the Peak District — a lasting influence that continues to shape his work today. His abstract paintings are richly layered with texture, mark making and atmosphere, often unfolding through conversations of meandering thought, visual fragments and subtle narratives that invite the viewer’s imagination.

After studying Visual Art and Professional Media, Jonathan exhibited widely before spending a number of years immersed in sound editing and digital music production — an experience that still echoes through the rhythm and depth of his paintings today.

We’re excited to now be showing Jonathan’s work here at Park Gallery.

The first of many landscapes from the very much talented Sara Chandler didn’t last long! Sara‘s paintings have a warmth and a creative expression which is aesthetically so pleasing. The layered creative marks combine wonderfully together to create a style which is rich and distinct and paintings that would be a genuinely great addition to any wall.

Besides showcasing her artwork at the gallery we’ll also be taking Sara Chandler‘s work to this year‘s at the Cheltenham racecourse, April 24th - 26th.

Among the new work is a bronze sculpture by Joe Hawley. His work continues to explore the relationship between the natural world and human progress. We think it looks amazing and it's a magnificent piece to crown his Syntheticization series.
