Thursday 4th June, 5-8pm.

Join us at Project Ability for the opening reception of James’ solo exhibition for

James is visiting from in Norwich and is looking forward to chatting with visitors about his exquisite embroideries and drawings. James will be at the opening reception as well as visits to the gallery for drawing sessions on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th from 2-4pm.

Come along tomorrow, have a drink and enjoy some amazing artwork.

Opening tomorrow! 🧵🪡

Wow, our staff have been busy curating this exquisite show for 2026! We can’t wait to open our doors TOMORROW evening at 5pm for the press evening and opening reception of James Gladwell’s solo exhibition at Project Ability.

James has travelled all the way from Norwich with his support worker and is very excited to meet you all! Please pop in tomorrow evening to congratulate James, we guarantee you will be inspired by his work.

Everyone is welcome, our gallery is wheelchair accessible.

We will be open 5-8pm.

🎉 Happy Volunteers' Week! 🎉

Meet Beth, the newest member of the Project Ability team and one of the friendly faces who'll be supporting our amazing volunteers!

Beth has recently joined us as our new Project Coordinator, and one of the most exciting parts of her role will be supporting and leading our incredible team of studio volunteers.

Our volunteers bring so much to Project Ability, generously sharing their time, skills and enthusiasm to help create a welcoming, creative and supportive studio environment for our artists. We simply couldn't do it without them.

James Gladwell's solo exhibition at Project Ability opens next week!

Join us in the gallery for the press evening and opening reception on Thursday 4th June, 5-8pm.

James will also be in the gallery the following two days(Friday 5th and Saturday 6th) between 2-4pm , where he will be happy to chat to visitors about his work.

He will also be creating new drawings whilst in the gallery, which will be used as inspiration images for our embroidery workshops that are taking place throughout the festival!

Volunteer Call Out! ✨

We are now accepting applications from visual artists across all art forms, to volunteer with us within our unique art studios.

Our volunteering programme will offer opportunities to artists to gain supported experience within our busy working studios, over the course of a block of workshops (8-10 weeks).

Opportunities are available across our 3 specialist programmes: Aspire, Create or ReConnect. Your experience with us will give you the opportunity to engage with our artists, be inspired by their innovative artistic practices and gain experience of delivering an inclusive arts session.

Deadline to apply: Friday 19th June

Interviews: 29th / 30th June

Opportunities start: Week commencing Monday 13th July

Slow down, stitch, and spend time surrounded by the beautiful work of James Gladwell 🪡✨

Alongside James’ Glasgow International solo exhibition, we’re hosting three free embroidery workshops inside our 1st floor gallery at Trongate 103.

These relaxed sessions are beginner friendly, with all materials provided, and everyone will leave with their own embroidered artwork to take home.

Inspired by James’ delicate drawings and embroideries, participants are invited to experiment with stitching, texture, and line in a welcoming creative environment. During his visits to the gallery, James will also be creating new drawings in the space which visitors are welcome to use as inspiration.

Workshop Dates:
🪡 Wed 10 June, 1–3pm
🪡 Sat 13 June, 10-11.30am (Kids Workshop 5+)
🪡 Wed 17 June, 1–3pm

Free to attend but spaces are limited to 10 people per session, so booking is essential.
