The Charter Fair Opening Ceremony is this Thursday from 10.30am outside the town hall, join Ilkeston in officially opening the 774th fair!!

The museum is open from 11am to 4pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week. Come and pop in for a break from the hustle and bustle, enjoy a cuppa and a lite bite in the Dalby House Café. Check out the bookshop or enjoy a browse around the museum.

It's our Social Stitching group today. Bring your own project and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. The group meet in the café from 11am onwards.

They are currently busy working on the next project, if you would like to find out more or get involved please speak to our chief volunteer Norma.

Have you ever fancied trying lace making?

Bobbin Lace Making Workshops are taking place here at the museum on Saturday 28th November and Saturday 16th January, 11am to 4pm. The workshops are suitable for all from absolute beginner to more experienced.

This week we are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am to 4pm.

Our Social Stitching group meet this Saturday, in the café from 11am onwards. Bring your project and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. We also have Learn to Knit on Thursday 1.30pm to 2.30pm and EyUp Mums on Friday from 11am to 1.30pm.

The Stables Bookshop and Dalby House Café will be open during normal opening hours.

We are excited to be taking part in the big Ilkeston Town Trick or Treat event again this year 🍭🍭🍭🍬🍬🍬

Friday 30th October we will open our doors for trick or treat fans to grab a sweet treat. The museum will be open from 11am to 4pm. We also have a range of Science and Space activities you can join in with, no need to book and free of charge.

The Dalby House Café can be found just inside the main house. It serves a range of teas, coffees, hot and cold drinks. You can enjoy a tasty sweet treat or indulge in a light lunch such as a cheese toastie or a jacket potato. We also do children's lunch boxes for just £3.50.

The café is run entirely by our amazing team of volunteers who always provide a warm and friendly welcome. Thank you so much.

The café is open during usual opening hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am to 4pm (plus Wednesdays in the school holidays). Come and discover this little gem for yourself!
