After a summer break we are delighted that our Social Stitching group will be back this Saturday! 🪡🧸🐝

Come and join this wonderful and creative group for a cuppa and a chat. Bring your own project or find out what's happening next here at Erewash Museum and how you can join in.

The Social Stitchers meet every first and third Saturday of the month from 11am in the Dalby House Café. Entry is free. This is not a teaching group but everyone is welcome.

This week we are back to normal opening hours which is Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am to 4pm.

The museum, Dalby House Café and Old Stable Bookshop will all be open and entry is free of charge.

We will be back to the usual menu in the café so pop in and enjoy a toastie or jacket potato this week! We hope to see you very soon.

It's our final week of fun free activities for summer here at Erewash Museum! We are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am to 4pm.

This weeks line-up includes . . .

Teddy Bears Picnic Wednesday 🧸
Bring your teddy and picnic and enjoy a day at the beach here in our garden! Look our for a special visit from Sandy Bear and treat yourself to an ice-cream 🍦

Try It Thursday - Pottery 💦
Come and join a clay workshop and make your very own animal creation! No need to book and entry is free (each workshop has limited space), workshops are at 11:15, 12, 12:45, 1:45 and 2:30

Friday Vibes - Pidgeon Pie Band 🤘
Get ready to end the school holidays in style Local band Pidgeon Pie will be rocking the day away in the garden🎶🎸😎

The beach, Dalby House Café, Old Stable Bookshop and Beach Hut will be open. There is a free beach hut trail to complete and our super tricky Puzzle Packs are available for just £2.50.

🐻 Who's been having the time of their life this summer? Our knitted bears have! 🧶
Our wonderful knitted creations around the museum are lovingly crafted by our talented Social Stitch group, who dedicate hours of time and care to every project.
Each new theme helps bring the museum grounds to life, and we love seeing the smiles they bring to visitors as they walk through the gates. Watching families explore, spot their favourites, and enjoy the displays is always a highlight for us.
Want to get involved?
Social Stitch meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. Whether you knit, crochet, sew, stitch, or simply want to work on your latest project in good company, everyone is welcome.
