Each week we will be showcasing the dedication, support, hard work and enjoyment, that Tugs fans have, with there own creations, some of which have been donated to us.

Join us as we step back to the 1980s at the Midland Railway – Butterley on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June.

Visitors will arrive at Butterley Station and travel to the Swanwick Junction site aboard an iconic train from the 1980s, setting the scene for a weekend of retro railway nostalgia.

At Swanwick Junction, enjoy a full programme of 80s-themed entertainment, including a retro arcade featuring classic games of the era, an 80s disco, and a nostalgic movie trailer and adverts show in the Church.

In addition, don’t miss a special display of models from the classic 1980s television series Tugs — a real treat for fans young and old!

Back when Tugs was broadcasting in the late 1980s, Ten Cents and Sunshine were the only two toys that ERTL produced.

However, if history had been kinder, we could have had Top Hat as the next toy in production!

We were fortunate enough to receive the prototype for the Top Hat ERTL toy from the rights holders, which is on display at the Clearwater Exhibition coach during Tugs Events!
