Happening today!

Jade is joining us again to bring us "The Blitz: a peoples story" telling the story of the Blitz but through the eyes of the people, supported by diary entries. One heartbreaking quote from a female journalist living in London (05/09/1940): "How lovely, the day when we don't need to do this", captures the overall sentiment of feelings that were experienced.

The 'Daily Sketch' today: 'Six hundred enemy aircraft came and made heroes of our Londoners ... on Saturday.' How the fact of being bombed makes anyone a hero I fail to understand. The nonsensical emotionalism which some papers are now printing is annoying and disturbing.

Want to hear more about the reactions to the Blitz from the people? Jade is presenting; "The Blitz: a peoples story" which will cover just that. Happening tomorrow!
