Who else grew up watching Tin Tin and his adventuring companion Snowy? The talented has painted some more nostalgic pieces with a new TinTin and two versions of Snowy. We love the bright colours and how unique each piece is with the collage background.

We can't wait to see what else David creates and have some prints of his we'll be sharing in a few days time so watch this space to see a new iconic pairing we have in print form alongside these

Did you know that Oundle's church spire is the tallest in the county of Northamptonshire? This original painting by Deborah Frances James has a great view of the spire on the horizon surrounded by the beautiful colours of nature and green fields.

We love the colours and bold lines Debbie uses and the way these frame the town church silhouette. The colours are so bright and cheerful and perfect for these hot summery days.

You can come to the gallery at 3 West Street in Oundle to see it in person along with all of the other pieces from our talented local artists.

Have you seen our advert in The Active Magazine this month? We haven't advertised much yet and love how many people have found us through word of mouth, online or walking past. The community in Oundle has been so welcoming, we can't wait to see anyone who hasn't come in yet and has wandered across us on social media.

What do you think of our advert? We love our logo and colours but is there anything you'd want to see in an advert that we've missed? We're still learning about Oundle and always happy to hear what you think and how we can be a part of the community.

What better for the hot weather than a cold drink in a pub garden? Or hiding away from the sun and trying to stay cool. This sunny weather has been great for showing off these colourful stained glass sun catchers from Pictures in Glass

They're all unique and handmade with glass that Tarot selects specifically for each design. A lot of the glass has some pattern in it as well, meaning they're all individual even with the same design.

We have such a great range of styles and colours and they make a great gift for someone. They fit perfectly through a letterbox and can fit anywhere with a small hook. Also a plus for if you like art in the windows is that these won't fade in the sun!

The summer heat is staying with us over the bank holiday weekend. These bright and summery pieces from Shani Wray-Jenkins really give that feeling of coffee or drinks outside in the sun, relaxing on holidays.

We love her use of colour and bold strokes, the patterns and how some of the pieces work well as a pair or set and would look amazing together on a wall.

Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend, such great weather for a wander round and a nice change to come into work without needing a jacket or umbrella! What is everyone up to this weekend? Perfect barbecue weather or sheltering inside from the heat? It's definitely nice to come into the cool of the gallery as it's an old stone building.

We're open today until 4:30, but we're closed on Monday as it's a bank holiday. We're open as normal the rest of the week though.

To go with today's hot weather, here's a beautiful cheetah by the talented Keiran Hodge We have originals of his pencil pieces as well as the amazing colourful acrylic on canvas of the flamingo. We love the detail and how he captures the animals perfectly.

If local wildlife is more your style we also have some gorgeous prints of local birds and wildlife. These are a great way to show off your love of nature in a smaller piece that will fit in any room.

We also do framing with ForestFrames and have a great range of frames that will look great with these pieces. We have experience in framing and are happy to spend as long as you want with picking out the perfect one for you.

This beautiful fox is made of glass and painted with enamel by FiredGlass. The amount of detail and texture in this piece show the time and skill needed to complete it. She really captures the face and character of a fox so well.

We love the layers built up with glass that add so much depth, and the mount that makes it stand out makes it a great statement piece.

When you have a gallery in an old building you have to live the quirks and features. We try to make use of every inch of space we have and showcase our local artists' work.

The old fireplaces in the front and back make some great spaces to display art in a way people can envision in their own homes as well. Small pieces fit perfectly on the spiral stairs and fit into areas where others just don't fit.

We love all our local artists and having a small space means getting inventive with our displays and mixing different pieces and styles together. We hope that anyone can come into Jackdaw and find something they enjoy, whether it's to browse or buy we love meeting people and getting to share the wealth of local talent we have in the area.

We're open six days a week from Monday to Saturday, from 10 till 4:30. We're on West Street in Oundle, we'd love for you to pop in and say hi 😊
