Cornwall Contemporary exhibiting the very best in contemporary painting, sculpture, printmaking and ceramics over four floors in Penzance.

Established 2006 by Sarah Brittain-Mansbridge MBE Cornwall Contemporary opened on 1st September 2006. It is a large, spacious art gallery set out over three floors in a listed building at the top of historic Chapel Street in Penzance. "At the top of Chapel Street is Cornwall Contemporary, a dazzling white space opened in 2006 by Sarah Brittain-Mansbridge, its collections are a glorious showcase for Cornish artistic talent” The Independent

Exhibitions at Cornwall Contemporary change monthly and present the very best of art in Cornwall and from out of the county. Established and highly respected artists exhibit alongside some of the most exciting up–and–coming art school graduates and artists from around Britain and as far afield as Norway. Regular exhibiting artists include Neil Pinkett, Daphne McClure, Emma Dunbar, Antonio Lopez Reche, Alasdair Lindsay, Maggie Matthews, David Mankin, Kristin Vestgard, Melanie Goemans, Emma McClure, Fiona Millais, Philip Lyons, Paul Lewin and Janet Lynch amongst others.

You have until 24th October to come to Penzance to see this extraordinary exhibition and if you can’t make it in person, you can view all the works and the 3d immersive gallery tour on the Cornwall Contemporary website.

Thank you to everyone who has visited our wonderful David Mankin exhibition Odysseys so far, it’s been fabulous to see so many of you. A big thank you to everyone who came to the opening of David Mankin’s exhibition Odysseys, so many of you travelled such a long way (special mention to Mark from Chicago!) It was a superb start to this wonderful exhibition with red dots appearing thick and fast and a lot of excitement.
The exhibition is on until 24th October so there is plenty of time for you all to come and visit and you can see all of the work and the immersive 3d reality tour on our website too.

A wonderful morning filming with ITV News for our new David Mankin exhibition Odysseys. David was interviewed about his working process, his paintings, new book and this wonderful new collection of work and I chatted about his phenomenal success in the art world. We were also joined by one of David’s collectors Mark, who has flown in from Chicago especially to attend David’s private view this weekend and he was asked what it is about David’s paintings that makes him fly halfway around the world to come and see his work.
It will probably air on ITV Westcountry News tomorrow - Friday 25th Sept but don’t worry if you miss it as I’ll post it in full on our website.

I’m delighted to say that our David Mankin exhibition Odysseys is hung nice and early for you all to come along and view in the gallery now.

David will be in the gallery this Saturday 26th September between 11am - 1pm and is looking forward to seeing you all at the launch of this extra special exhibition and the launch of his new book.
