A little hello from Rookscroft! 🍂

I’m spending Saturday in our little shop on Stonegate in York, surrounded by all the creatures and places that have wandered out of my imagination over the years.

I thought I’d share a few little glimpses of the shop today, especially for those of you who live too far away to visit us in person.

It’s a rather lovely feeling to see this imaginary world slowly becoming a real place, and even lovelier to share it with all of you.

October has arrived at Rookscroft. 🎃
Robin has been very busy making himself a little pumpkin house, Quentin has acquired a rather magnificent stalking cape, and there might be a ghost in the house.
An old suitcase is found in the attic, along with a mysterious collection of letters and correspondence from an old friend who lives beyond the Wild Woods.
The October letter is ready to make its way out into the world. 💌

The very first Letters from Rookscroft are all ready to make their way out into the world.
Thank you so much to everyone who has joined us this month. It has been such a lovely thing to make these little letters and imagine them arriving in homes all over the place.

This week the envelopes are being filled with letters to send to you all, and while I wait for the printer to do it’s work I’m painting little pictures. These are Passes that will be part of the new Rookscroft mail area we will be adding to our shop in York. In the coming weeks I will post progress from our initial ideas to building out the space and you can join along in the journey of bringing it all to life ❤️

Dear friends, This September, the first Letters from Rookscroft will quietly begin making their way into the world. My friends on the island are excited to write too, so I've chosen an extra large envelope to hold all the stories and little everyday things they are so excited to share with you.
