With so many non-profits involved in GiveLocalNRV, you may be wondering "Why Wonder Universe?" Kristi Snyder, administrator at Rainbow Riders Childcare Center, spoke to us about why she has been a long time supporter, donor, and sponsor of Wonder Universe:

"Wonder Universe is a creative and welcoming space for children and families in our community. The hands-on, interactive learning opportunities throughout the children's museum invite children to play, interact with others, and explore their interests. This space is an amazing extension of our early learning programs and Rainbow Riders has been a proud supporter since its inception."

We’re thrilled to share that Wonder Universe: A Children’s Museum is part of this year’s Community Foundation of the New River Valley campaign — and we’re counting on your support to make it a big success!

Although Giving Day officially kicks off at noon on Wednesday, June 24, Early Giving is happening now! Your donation helps us continue providing hands-on exhibits, playful learning experiences, and meaningful programs for families throughout our region.

Save the Date: Giving Day is June 24–25!
The most impactful time to give is during the 24-hour Giving Day window: from noon on June 24 to noon on June 25. Gifts made during this time can unlock additional opportunities for support — but you can contribute anytime throughout June to help us reach our goals.

Reminder! Our Stateson Homes Grand Opening Celebration is Tomorrow!

Have you made plans to join us? Here's a sneak peek of the newly refreshed exhibit!

This beloved exhibit has received a major makeover, featuring fresh paint, new flooring, and many exciting new play elements. Designed with our youngest guests in mind, children ages 0–10 can enjoy new additions like a crane, a miniature house, foam construction bricks, foam cinder blocks, foam 2x4s, hard hats, a jackhammer, and more as they learn through play.

Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

-Construct-a-Truck Craft
-Construction Vehicle Scavenger Hunt
