UC Davis Bee Haven The UC Davis Bee Haven is a half-acre bee friendly garden next to the Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility on Bee Biology Road, UC Davis.

Directions: http://campusmap.ucdavis.edu/?l=772. Open daily, dawn to dusk. The Haven is a unique outdoor museum where visitors can observe and learn about bees, other insects, and the plants that support them. The half-acre garden was planted in the fall of 2009 and is open year-around from dawn to dusk. Admission and parking are free. Guided tours, which take 45 to 60 minutes, are scheduled from

mid-March to September. Tours must be reserved in advance. To request a tour, go to http://beegarden.ucdavis.edu/visit-us/reservation

The purpose of this page is to share news and information about the Haven and pollinator gardening in general. From all of us at UC Davis Bee Haven we hope you have a prosperous and Happy New Year! In collaboration with Samantha Murray, Joseph Tauzer and David Fujino we have been working to continue upgrades on the Garden’s irrigation system, provide plant maintenance, and begin plans for other infrastructure and programming enhancements. We hope that you can come and visit the Haven soon as it is always open dawn to dusk. In the meantime please learn a little bit more about our new student garden coordinator Samantha (Sam) Murray.
