Gilda Snowden Memorial Exhibition

Exhibition Display Dates April 23 - June 28, 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend for the opening of the Gilda Snowden Exhibition. It is always one of our most joyful and celebrated moments. During this exhibition, we recognize artists with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention awards, and we are excited to share this year’s recipients with you below. Congratulations to the award winners and to all of the participating artists.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Ta**us Burns, Donna Snowden, and Kate Snowden-Boswell. We appreciate you deeply.

Please mark your calendar for late May or June as we host a special discussion and viewing of Gilda Snowden’s work. More details to come.

JOIN US!!

Ceramic artists and lovers - this week is the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference in Detroit - outside of a lot of exhibitions happening throughout Detroit - Scarab Club is hosting an workshop - STEMS & VESSELS

Join us as we combine ceramic vessels and ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement in an exhibition activation. A live demonstration of Jiyuka will take place on March 25 at 10:30 to 12:00. Admission is $20.00 , space is limited and reservations are required.

On Display Wednesday, March 25 - Saturday, March 28 - Artists Lounge

The Scarab Club presents Stems & Vessels, a collaborative exhibition combining ceramic vessels and ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement. Curated by ceramicist Terri Marra alongside ikebana specialists Liz Larwa and Leslie Rosinski, the exhibition features Jiyuka—a contemporary, freeform approach to ikebana.
