Skagit County Historical Museum Experience the rich stories of the Skagit Valley in charming La Conner, WA. Come visit the Skagit County Historical Museum!

We are dedicated to fostering community identity, understanding, and pride, offering a sense of belonging, and acting as a forum for bringing individuals and communities together. We aim to represent the history of all Skagit County people and communities. The Skagit County Historical Museum offers educational exhibits, programs, publications and research services. We also maintain Skagit City School as an educational center, on Fir Island.

One week until our next amazing exhibit opens! Join us to learn more about our local farms, as well as some invaluable resources that are available in Skagit County. Starts with a reception from 5-7 pm on June 5th. Join us for pizza from WSU’s Pizza 4 Producers, book signing by author and photographer Craig J. Barber, and a short reading by Dr. John S. Farnsworth from Craig J. Barbers' new book 'Where our Food Comes From: The Magic of the Skagit Valley.'

WE ANTICIPATE A LARGE CROWD SO WE HAVE ARRANGED A SHUTTLE FROM THE SOUTH BASIN PARKING LOT AT THE MARINA AND FROM THE TOWN OF LA CONNER PARKING LOT TO THE MUSEUM. THANK YOU TO LA CONNER RETIREMENT INN AND CRICKET LOESCH FOR PROVIDING THIS SERVICE!!! SHUTTLE WILL RUN FROM 4:30 TO 7:00. PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS A CHARGE TO PARK AT BOTH OF THESE LOTS.

Please note ~ If you're planning to come to our opening reception on Friday June 5th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm for "Where Our Food Comes From: Honoring the Farmworkers and Farmers of Skagit County" our featured photographer, Craig Barber, will be signing his brand-new book from 5:00pm to 5:45pm.
We are hoping to make things easier for all by having you call or come by the Museum to pre-pay for your copy/copies. That way we can have your book(s) ready for you to just pick up and get in line to have them signed!
