LAWRENCE MCADAMS’ Skyward explores the transcendent power of music through a figure suspended between earth and air.

With her eyes closed and viola lifted upward, the musician appears carried by something beyond performance alone — a quiet surrender to movement, sound, and emotion. The sweeping dress and luminous sky create a sense of weightlessness, as though music itself is guiding the ascent.

The work was inspired by concert violist and reflects both the discipline and liberation found in mastery of an instrument.

MONIQUE STRAUB’s “contemporary bohemian” paintings balance refinement with spontaneity, transforming landscape into vibrant, emotionally charged compositions.

Working in oil on canvas, Monique begins with her own photographic imagery, then reimagines it through luminous color, expressive brushwork, and a deeply personal lens. Rooted in traditional methods yet unmistakably contemporary, her work brings an energetic, sophisticated presence to any space.

We’re pleased to introduce Mayfair 4 by LESLIE ARNOLD — one of four works from Leslie’s ongoing exploration of layering, texture, and atmospheric depth.

Working in silk aquatint, collagraph, and chine collé — fine art printmaking techniques that combine etched tonal fields, richly textured surfaces, and layered papers - Leslie builds surfaces with delicate transparencies and richly worked passages of ink and mark-making. The result is a quiet complexity — swipe twice for detail views.

“Pinwheel” (monoprint and mixed media) by COLLEEN KENNEDY PREMER draws viewers into a deeply layered visual experience.

A monoprint is a unique form of printmaking in which painted, inked, or textured surfaces are transferred by hand and pressure from a special printmaking press, producing a single, unrepeated image. The process embraces layering, pressure, residue, and chance interactions that leave behind richly complex surfaces impossible to ever exactly duplicate. Colleen has added other media to this piece to further build its extraordinary depth and surface.

Pinwheel, like much of Colleen’s work , centers around familiar symbols and repeated forms, using them in ways that feel personal and recognizable. We think it’s stunning!
