We honor their courage, reflect on their legacy, and give thanks for the freedoms secured through their selfless devotion. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

QC Hometown: Matthews Heritage Museum keeps history alive

Today is and we're celebrating with one of Matthews' newest connections to its past: the Matthews Depot marker, installed just last year. This historic transportation marker was fully funded by a grant received from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation.

Markers like this help tell the story of our town's beginnings, connecting the Town of Matthews, NC to a wider world and laying the foundation for the community we know today. We've also received approval for another historical marker, so stay tuned for what's next.

The next time you're nearby the Depot, take a moment to stop, read, and reflect. 🚂
