A masterpiece of the Meiji period.

This exceptional cloisonné enamel vase by Kumeno Teitaro captures a dragon emerging from turbulent waves with extraordinary vitality and technical brilliance. Against a deep midnight-black ground, the dragon coils through luminous turquoise waters, demonstrating the remarkable artistry that established Nagoya as the center of Japan’s finest enamel production during the late 19th century.

Both sculptural and painterly, the vase embodies the innovation, precision, and imagination that define the greatest achievements of Japanese cloisonné.

New York is celebrating today.

The streets are filled with blue and orange as the city comes together for the Knicks parade. As a New York gallery, we couldn’t help but notice that one of the most extraordinary objects in our collection happens to share the very same colors.

Created by the legendary House of Mellerio Paris, this remarkable picture frame is crafted in silver, 18K gold, hardstone, lapis lazuli, and coral. Two sculptural falcons stand proudly atop a richly colored lapis lazuli base, accented by vibrant coral cabochons and an engraved plaque bearing the Mellerio name.

Founded in 1613, Mellerio is the oldest family-owned jewelry house in the world, and that heritage is evident in every detail of this exceptional objet d’art. More than a picture frame, it is a jewel for the home—a rare marriage of sculpture, decorative art, and precious materials.

Today, those colors belong to New York.

Fortunately, so does this masterpiece.

Few works of furniture embody the artistic dialogue between East and West as magnificently as this extraordinary Louis XV Régence cabinet.

Constructed in France during the mid-18th century and lavishly adorned with rare Chinese lacquer panels painted in gilt and polychrome, this monumental masterpiece represents the pinnacle of the Chinoiserie movement. Every panel reveals an enchanting world of pagodas, figures, gardens, and landscapes, meticulously preserved within an architectural framework of beautifully figured tulipwood and finely cast gilt-bronze mounts.

Beyond its remarkable craftsmanship and imposing scale, the cabinet carries an exceptional provenance, having been acquired from the celebrated Maison Kugel in Paris. Its influence extends beyond the world of antiques; The Metropolitan Museum of Art recently referenced this cabinet as inspiration for a Karl Lagerfeld haute couture evening coat designed for Chanel, a testament to its enduring power as an object of beauty and design.

At 85 inches wide, this is not merely a cabinet—it is a statement piece, a conversation piece, and a museum-worthy work of art. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most spectacular examples of French Chinoiserie to appear on the market in recent years.

Poetry in cobalt.

Nasser Ovissi’s “Four Blue Squares” masterfully weaves together the artist’s signature horse imagery, Persian calligraphy, architectural motifs, and dreamlike symbolism into a composition of extraordinary depth and elegance. Rich shades of blue evoke centuries of Persian art and culture while remaining strikingly modern.

A work that commands attention far beyond its scale.
