Archeologist John Boilegh entertained an audience of 45 folks this past Saturday at the Museum.

Also, Weirton native and author Anna Egan Smucker visited the Mary H. Weir Public Library to discuss her children's books yesterday.

The Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center will be open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2026 and Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Rick Rine's presentation on hornets nests "stung" about 50 participants at the Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center on Saturday.

And speaking of creating a "buzz", don't forget that Rick Rine will speak about his collection of hornets nests this Saturday at 11:00 am. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. No sting in attending! 😉

The Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center is pleased to welcome archeologist John Boilegh for a presentation on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am. He will speak about findings from the East Steubenville site in Follansbee, WV and discuss the early inhabitants of West Virginia's northern panhandle.
