🌟 A Double Header at Broughty Castle This Weekend! 🌟

The Yard Market returns to Broughty Castle this weekend with two fantastic days of shopping, community spirit, and family-friendly fun!

🛍️ Saturday 17 October – Makers Market
The Makers Market brings together up to 30 local traders, all showcasing and selling a wonderful range of handcrafted products and unique gifts. It's the perfect opportunity to shop local, discover something special, and support talented independent makers from across the area.

🐾 Sunday 18 October – The Barket + Special Early Opening of Broughty Castle
Dog lovers won't want to miss this! The Barket returns with a full day dedicated to our four-legged friends. Browse stalls packed with treats, toys and pet accessories, and enjoy a fun-filled dog show running throughout the day.
🏰 Broughty Castle Museum will also open early at 10am on Sunday, giving you even more time to enjoy a visit!

📍 Everything you need to know:
• Market entry: £2 for adults | Free for under 16s
• Entry to the Castle grounds and museum: Free for everyone (donations warmly welcomed)
• Opening times: 10am–4pm on both days for the market and museum
• Food trucks will be on site throughout the weekend, offering a variety of tasty food and refreshments to keep you fuelled while you browse
• Dogs are welcome throughout the market area. However, due to the historic nature of the site, dogs cannot enter the Castle grounds or museum (excluding assistance dogs)

As the final Yard Market weekend at Broughty Castle in 2026, this is your last opportunity this year to browse local traders, enjoy delicious food, and soak up the atmosphere of these popular events in one of Dundee's most iconic settings.

Due to the forecast for high winds on Saturday, this weekend's Yard Market will no longer take place at Broughty Castle.

The market will now take place indoors at The Old St Luke's, Broughty Ferry (DD5 1AU). For further information, please visit The Yard Market's social media channels.

We look forward to welcoming The Yard Market back to Broughty Castle for its final castle markets of the year on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October. 🍂🏰

A huge thank you to Neil Paterson for his wonderful performance of The Tale of the Great Tay Whale in the Broughty Castle courtyard last night.

It was a truly special evening of entertainment, and we were delighted to host such a unique event in this beautiful setting.

A big thank you as well to everyone who joined us. Your enthusiasm and support helped make the night such a success and created a fantastic atmosphere throughout.

We were delighted to host such a memorable event and look forward to welcoming you back to Broughty Castle again soon.

🌟 SOLD OUT TONIGHT at Broughty Castle 🌟

We're looking forward to welcoming audiences this evening for Neil Paterson's acclaimed one-man show, The Tale of the Great Tay Whale, taking place in the castle courtyard.

📍 Important information for ticket holders:

🕡 Doors open: 6:30pm
🎭 Performance: 7:00pm – 8:00pm
🎫 Ticket checks will take place at the Castle Gate

Access to the castle building will be available for use of the toilets throughout the evening.

Please note that chairs and blankets will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish to make yourself more comfortable.

We look forward to welcoming you for what promises to be a fantastic evening of storytelling in the unique surroundings of Broughty Castle.
