Soft Touch Arts Our inclusive way of working helps young people who lack opportunities or have challenges in their lives to participate in positive creative activities.

A Leicester based charity, established in 1986, we use arts, media and music activities to inspire and engage young people and help them to develop creative, social and employability skills. We help them get back on track if things have gone wrong, try new things, build the confidence and resilience to change negative or risky behaviours, and progress to lead more fulfilling lives. This, in turn, has a beneficial effect on their communities. https://linktr.ee/softtouchartsleic

Seeing young people gain confidence and take up space in Leicester's creative scene is what it’s all about!

In our latest clip, Sarah Thomson from De Montfort University & Danny share why having open, creative spaces in our city is so vital for local youth.

As we prepare for the Leicester Half Marathon & 10K, we’re thrilled to have a fantastic mix of runners joining our fundraising drive—including teams from DMU, Cambridge & Counties Bank, and our very own Soft Touch Arts staff and supporters! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Want to help us keep this space thriving for the next generation?

Whether you’re running, setting a personal challenge, or hosting your own fundraiser, we’d love to have you on the team.

Results Day comes with so much pressure, but grades only tell a tiny part of the story.

They don’t show the hard work, resilience, creativity, and character these young people show every single day. We couldn't be prouder of everything they’ve achieved this year — both inside and outside the classroom.

To all our local students: a massive well done from the whole team! 💛

If you know a young person (or a fellow parent!) who needs a quick reminder tonight that their worth is so much more than numbers on a piece of paper, give this a share.

Take a look at what our young people have been up to recently during our South Wigston Street Sessions!

It was a fantastic turnout. The young people threw themselves into graffiti art activities, designing unique characters and mastering spray techniques. Beyond visual arts, they also experimented with digital beat-making and even tried out some karaoke.

These sessions give young people a safe, welcoming space to learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with their peers.

Do you have a child or teenager interested in joining future sessions? Or would you like to support our youth projects? Visit our website or drop us a message to learn more about upcoming dates and our other offerings.

Is "eco-friendly" just the new corporate trend? Let's talk.

A snippet from one of the panel talks at Radical Hope Eco Fest, exposing how big brands use "sustainability" and new tech as a trend to keep us consuming.

Greenwashing is at an all-time high, and buying "green" products won't fix a system built on constant consumption.

Let's talk in the comments: Do you think a business can ever be truly sustainable, or will "eco-friendly" always be a marketing gimmick?
