Thank you to every artist who applied — the standard of work was exceptionally high and selecting this year’s exhibition was incredibly difficult.

We can’t wait to welcome you all to Fifteen x Fifteen 2026 on Saturday 22nd August from 11am onwards at Blowfish Glass Gallery. Congratulations!!! 🥳

I’ve made far too many decisions today so I’m going with all 4 posters, because they’re beautiful ❤️💙

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED
Thank you to everyone who submitted an application — we received an incredible 136 entries, exceeding even our 2024 Fifteen x Fifteen exhibition.

Due to the strength and volume of submissions, we’ve decided to expand this year’s event. We will be introducing two additional judges and increasing the number of exhibiting artists from 30 to 60.

The exhibition will now open during the Stourbridge Glass Quarter Festival (21st-23rd August), alongside exhibitions at General Office Gallery, Stourbridge Glass Museum, the Ruskin Glass Centre, and the Red House Glass Cone in collaboration with Makers Market Midlands.

Our opening event will be Saturday 22nd August.
We will also be reaching out to selected artists to discuss live demonstrations taking place throughout the day on Saturday. This sits just ahead of the International Festival of Glass the following bank holiday weekend in St. Helens. What a fantastic Summer for glass !

Our event will be ticketed during the day, with artists and collectors invited to stay for an evening of networking and refreshments from 6:30pm.

A full programme announcement will be shared very soon — please stay tuned via our socials and sign up to our newsletter via the link in bio.

I’m incredibly excited to curate what promises to be a STANDOUT exhibition. Thank you again to everyone who applied.

Soo… who’s coming !? 😃

It’s March, which means month – a chance to introduce the people behind the glass at Blowfish.

First up is Elliot Walker, glass maker and founder of . Elliot spends most days by the furnace turning molten glass into the stunning pieces you see leaving the studio. When he’s not making, he’s usually developing new designs

Bethany Wood is our Blowfish Gallery owner, tutor and Blowfish Bespoke project manager. Bethany keeps projects moving, turns beginners into addicts and keeps our busy programme of events and workshops running smoothly.

Ryan Ashcroft is our glass making assistant. Ryan is part of the hotshop team, helping gather, shape and finish pieces while keeping the rhythm of the workshop going. If you’ve ever watched glass blowing in action, you’ll know it’s very much a team sport.

Jiayun Ding supports both glass making and packing. From helping at the bench to carefully preparing finished pieces for their journey out into the world.

All four of us are glass artists in our own right, but together we keep Blowfish running day-to-day – turning molten glass, strong coffee and occasional chaos into the finished pieces you see in the gallery.

Follow along this month as we share a bit more about the people, process and occasional hotshop mishap behind the scenes.

Fifteen x Fifteen Studio Bursary — Now Open ✨

We’re offering two Studio Bursaries, each worth £1,200, to support glass artists in developing new work for our upcoming Fifteen x Fifteen exhibition.

Each bursary includes:
🔥 A supported studio day with Elliot Walker
🧠 Mentorship from gallery owner Bethany Wood

We’re especially keen to support experimental ideas, including projects that combine different glass disciplines.

The exhibition coincides with the International Biennale and the GAS-led International Festival of Glass (IFOG) — a brilliant moment to be making and showing work in the UK.
