The fish shown in this video is an archerfish, most likely a species such as the primitive archerfish (Toxotes lorentzi), a remarkable predator known for its unique hunting strategy.

One of the archerfishโ€™s most fascinating abilities is its precision water-jet attack. By forcefully shooting droplets of water from its mouth, it can knock insects and other small prey off branches and into the water with impressive accuracy.

Archerfish typically have elongated, laterally compressed bodies, a defining trait of the family Toxotidae. These fish are commonly found in freshwater and brackish habitats, especially around mangrove forests, estuaries, and slow-moving coastal waters.

Isolated for millions of years in the Arabian Sea, this remote Yemeni island evolved its own extraordinary ecosystem, with nearly a third of its plant life found nowhere else on the planet.

Its most famous resident is the legendary dragonโ€™s blood tree. With its umbrella-shaped crown and deep red sap, the tree looks almost prehistoric. When the bark is cut, it releases a crimson resin once used in medicine, dyes, varnishes, and traditional remedies across the ancient world.

For centuries, myths surrounded these strange trees. One old legend tells of a dragon and an elephant locked in battle, their blood soaking the ground and giving rise to the islandโ€™s mysterious red-sapped trees.

But Socotra is more than legends and strange landscapes. Despite its harsh environment, the island is home to remarkably kind communities and an ecosystem unlike anywhere else on Earth. Hidden in the Australian outback, this giant moth looks less like an insect and more like something from another era. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Recently spotted at Hamelin Station Reserve in Western Australia, this massive moth likely belongs to the genus Endoxyla, a group famous for including some of the heaviest moths on Earth. Some species can weigh over 30 grams, making them true giants of the insect world.

Its bark-like camouflage is just as impressive as its size. Resting against a tree, the moth almost disappears completely, helping it avoid predators during the day.

Discoveries like this are a reminder that some of the planetโ€™s most extraordinary creatures are still hiding in plain sight. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฆ‹

Released in 2015 by Disney and Pixar, The Good Dinosaur imagines a world where the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs never struck Earth, allowing dinosaurs to build civilizations while humans evolved in a much more primitive way.

The story centers on Arlo, a shy young Apatosaurus, who gets lost far from home and begins a difficult journey back to his family. Along the way, he forms an unlikely bond with a wild human child named Spot, learning courage and survival through their adventure together.

The film became widely recognized for its stunning animation technology, especially its incredibly realistic environments, lighting, and atmospheric effects. Behind the scenes, however, production was heavily reworked, including a director replacement and major voice cast changes before release.

Although it received positive attention for its visuals and earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Feature, the movie underperformed financially compared to most Pixar releases, bringing in around $330 million worldwide despite its massive budget and marketing campaign.
