🎉 A huge congratulations to all of the artists who have received CAC's Individual Artist Fellowship, especially those who have worked in San Pedro! This Fellowship distributes a total of $800,000 in unrestricted funds that go directly to artists and cultural bearers across the region.

It's that time of year again...🔮✨

Gather your blankets, broomsticks, witch hats, and toadstools and join us around the fire as we welcome Scary Stories back to AGCC October 24th at 6:30pm.
Admission is free for children 6 years old and under, $5 for general admission. So mark your calendars and we'll see you there!

The 20th Many Winters Gathering of Elders (MWGOE) is just one week away!

The MWGOE is a four-day gathering where Native/Indigenous Elders and knowledge-keepers from across the country gather to share teachings through oral tradition with the community. The Gathering also hosts Native ceremonies throughout the four days. MWGOE is held in partnership with AGCC, open to the public, free to attend and family friendly.

This year's design is by artist Monica Zavala! She is an enrolled member of the Gabrielino/Tongva Nation, Acjachemen, and Chicana.

"This year‘s 20th Many Winters Gathering Of Elders design was inspired by the bear ceremony. During this ceremony, the spirit of the bear is honored with offerings of fish, berries, to***co, and honey. I created these Elders' hands that provide those offerings to the bear, to honor the Elders. With that reciprocity, this ceremony brings healing to the people. This bear represents the spirit of our local communities. It holds a traditional clapper stick and wears a necklace made of our California black oak acorn tops and abalone shell, items that I would give away to show my reciprocity.”
