Due to the severe storms last night we will be closed today, Wednesday September 2nd, and Thursday September 3rd, to work on storm cleanup and minor electrical issues. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back in a few days!

Family Fridays returns this week on Friday September 4th at 10:15 a.m.!
We will be joined by our friends from the Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education for story time and fun activities. The suggested ages for this program are 3-7 years old. Tickets are available right now on our website!

Hop in and join us for the last weekend celebrating Dog Days at the Estate!
We have drop in activities, story time, and of course, our infamous dog races. 😉
This weekend, August 29th & 30th, we will have a visit from two adorable Sealyham Terrier puppies! They will be inside the Conservatory Saturday and Sunday morning. Ask the Ticket House for details when you arrive!

Thanks to our talented Garden Staff, not only are the garden beds and grounds beautiful, our potted containers and urns are positively bursting with color and happy pollinators as well!

Due to the predicted heavy rains and flood watch warnings we are canceling tonight’s Third Thursday event- however- the Estate will be open for normal business hours today.
All sold tickets for Third Thursday will be refunded- we apologize for the inconvenience!☔️

As part of our ongoing Dog Days events we are having a return visit from Oscar the Sealyham Terrier, a breed that Alicia duPont is credited with introducing in the United States!

He will be visiting tomorrow, Saturday August 15th from 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m., in the Mansion Conservatory.
We can’t wait to see you!

Please Note- as with all of our Dog Days events, we ask that you leave your furry family members at home when you visit the Estate🐶

This month it’s all about the dogs!
The duPonts counted their dogs as members of the family and to celebrate, we are offering dog-centered, drop in events all month long- free with admission!

When you visit, check with our Mansion staff about the Dog Days activities occurring that day, and stay tuned for more special event announcements!

This program is suited to children 3-7 years old but can modified for other ages and abilities, and runs from 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
