Art collective, Babeworld, are currently exhibiting new work in 'When The Sky Gets Bright' at Site Gallery in Sheffield. Their exhibition explores loneliness, isolation and the complex relationship between online and physical worlds. Central to Babeworld’s exhibition is a new short film following a chronically online and chronically ill person longing for connection whilst finding comfort in the safety of their own home.
The collective also have a new film commission, 'Roll for Initiative', in the group exhibition 'I need to be more than a lesson you learned' at dis_place for Disability Arts Online. 'Roll for Initiative' is a video essay that explores masking, the performance of identity, and the politics of making art works as a disabled individual. 'I need to be more than a lesson you learned’ is an exhibition that features the work of nine artists/collectives, exploring disabled lived experience in relation to ableist approaches to inclusion.
