A new way to arrive at the National Railway Museum is on the way 🎉

We're pleased to be opening a temporary entrance through South Yard, offering a more direct route into the museum from York station and the city centre.

After working closely with our partners in York Central, the new temporary entrance will be in place later this month as we continue to work on our exciting transformation programme ✨

From Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November, step inside Station Hall and search high and low for 30 specially created ghosts from York Ghost Merchants hidden among our historic carriages and trains. Along the way, uncover tales inspired by our collection, Victorian rail travel and York’s haunted heritage.
