We've gone batty about the new book of the month 'I spot a bat' which is part of our 'When wild creatures stir' focus table. You will find bat boxes, badges and soft toys among other items🦇 At this time of year bats start to roost for the Winter, hedgehogs start to look for places to hibernate and plants start to get ready to sleep over winter ready to reappear in the spring.
Colours and flavours of autumn are also featured including felt pumpkins, ombre scarves and toffee flavoured apple curd.

So many changes taking place onsite as we move into phase 2 of Operation Park, Play, Explore. From Wednesday 14 October we’ll be bidding a final farewell to our much loved play area as we prepare for a new one in the orchard in 2027. There’s plenty to delight visitors of all ages with our upcoming half term programme including Stranger Folk and autumnal face painting and our festive programme Once Upon a Time: Croome’s Fairytale Christmas. And there’s something big is coming our way in January 2027. Keep following for regular programming and play area updates.

Get drawn into drawing this month at Croome! We’re taking part in The Big Draw this month and you can get involved just by visiting the Court. We’ve got opportunities to draw at your own pace with easels and drawing boards available, and if you’d like to get some tips and tricks then stop in 11am-3pm on Wednesdays throughout the month for volunteer-led sessions with other like-minded people! ✏️
